Stickers/Emoji/Themes
In addition to the regular stickers, other types, such as sound stickers, message stickers, and custom stickers, are also available. Aside from purchasing individual sticker sets, you can also join LINE Stickers Premium, which allows unlimited use of selected stickers for a fixed price.
Note: LINE Stickers Premium is only available in Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Purchasing stickers:
Be advised
Useful info- You can go to the sticker purchase screen by tapping a sticker sent in a chat.
- You can download free stickers from the FREE tab in the Sticker Shop.
1. Tap the Home tab > Stickers.
Note: Tap here to go to the Sticker Shop from your main device.
2. Select the sticker set you want to buy.
3. Tap Purchase.
Note: If you don't have enough Coins, tap OK and then purchase the required amount of Coins.
By tapping
on the side of the sticker set screen, you can check back on the stickers that interest you after adding them to your wish list.Your wish list can only be viewed by you as long as you don't change your privacy settings.
To check your sticker purchase history:
1. Go to the Home tab >
> Stickers.Note: Tap here to go to Stickers from your main device.
2. Tap Purchase history.
If you're unable to purchase stickers, see the following Help article.
I can't purchase or send items as gifts
Expiring stickers:
If you see stickers with a red or yellow badge on your sticker set list, it means they have expired or are close to expiring.
• Stickers with a yellow badge will expire within 10 days.
• Stickers with a red badge have already expired.
Once a sticker set expires, it will automatically be deleted 20 days later. After displaying the tab for the relevant sticker set, it will be immediately deleted when you select another tab.
Settings related to sending stickers:
The settings related to sending stickers are Sticker previews and Display suggestions.
Sticker previews
Sticker previews let you see what the sticker you're sending is like.
To turn sticker previews on or off:
1. From the Home tab, tap
> Stickers.Note: Tap here to go to Stickers from your main device.
2. Turn ON/OFF Sticker previews.
Note: If the setting is off, stickers will be sent immediately when you tap them.
Display suggestions
Suggestions automatically display recommended LINE stickers and emoji that match the message you entered.
Note: Some stickers and emoji are not compatible with this feature.
To change the suggestion feature setting:
1. Tap the Home tab >
> Stickers.Note: Tap here to go to Stickers from your main device.
2. Tap Display suggestions.
3. Turn ON/OFF Display suggestions.
Follow-up stickers
You can use follow-up stickers by turning on Display suggestions after sending a message.
With the follow-up stickers feature, suitable sticker suggestions are temporarily displayed for the entered message even after it's sent.
Changing the order of/deleting/re-downloading sticker sets:
Changing the order of sticker sets in chats:
To reorder the sticker set icons that appear at the top of the chat text box (after you tap the stickers icon), drag and drop the sticker set icons where you want them.
Changing the order of/deleting sticker sets from Sticker set order:
1. From the Home tab, tap
> Stickers.Note: Tap here to go to Stickers from your main device.
2. Tap Sticker set order.
3. Tap and hold
for the sticker set you want to reorder, and move it to where you want it. To delete the sticker set, tap
> Delete.Re-downloading sticker sets:
1. From the Home tab, tap
> Stickers.2. Tap My Stickers.
Note: Tap here to go to My Stickers from your main device.
3. Tap Stickers.
4. Tap Download all or

Arranging stickers:
The Sticker Arranging feature lets you combine multiple stickers and change their sizes, angles, and positions before sending them.
Note: You can use this feature with the latest version of LINE. (Update LINE to the latest version.)
After opening the canvas where you can arrange stickers, make your adjustments on the canvas.
To open the canvas:
1. Tap 
in a chat.
2. On the sticker keyboard, tap and hold a sticker that you want to arrange, or drag it to the center of the screen.
If you want to arrange and send stickers shared in a chat, tap and hold the relevant sticker and tap Arrange to open the canvas.
Note: The Arrange option will not appear if stickers that can't be sent are included.
To adjust a sticker:
By tapping a sticker in the canvas, you can adjust its size and rotate it. You can combine up to six stickers by tapping or dragging the stickers you want to arrange from the sticker keyboard. To remove a sticker from the canvas, tap 
at the top left of the sticker.
Useful info- When the canvas is opened, stickers that do not support this feature will be grayed out and an error message will appear if you try to add one to the canvas.
- Sound, custom, message, pop-up, and effect stickers cannot be used with this feature.
- The stickers supporting this feature are subject to change.

Purchasing emoji:

By tapping the heart icon on the side of the emoji set screen, you can add emoji that interest you to your wish list, then check back on them later. Your wish list can only be viewed by you as long as you don't change your privacy settings.
You can check your emoji purchase history with the following steps.
To check your emoji purchase history:
1. From the Home tab, tap > Stickers.
Note: Tap here to go to Settings from your smartphone.
2. Tap Purchase history > the Emoji tab.
Sending emoji:
1. Tap to the right of the chat text box.
2. Switch between stickers and emoji on the left side of the sticker list menu.
3. Tap the emoji set you want to use.
You can send emoji with text; however, when you send one to three emoji alone, they will appear as stickers instead of within a chat balloon. You can also use the suggest feature to enter emoji.

3. Tap and hold for the emoji set you want to change the order of, and move it to where you want it.
To delete the emoji set, tap > Delete.
Re-downloading emoji sets
You can use emoji by downloading them again if:
• You want to use an emoji set you deleted again.
• You transferred your LINE account.
• You reinstalled the LINE app.
To re-download your emoji sets:
1. From the Home tab, tap > Stickers.
Note: Tap here to go to Settings from your smartphone.
2. Tap My Stickers > the Emoji tab.
3. Tap Download all or .

Themes let you set your favorite characters and more to the LINE app's interface (e.g. background, buttons). The Original theme is set by default.

Purchasing themes:
Useful info- You can download free themes (only those marked as "Free") from the RECOMMEND tab in the Theme Shop.
1. Open LINE on the main device your account is registered to.
2. From the Home tab, tap Themes.
3. Tap the theme you want to purchase.
4. Tap Purchase.
Note: If you don't have enough Coins, tap OK and then purchase the required amount of Coins.
You can change your theme settings by tapping Apply multiple themes or Apply this theme only on the pop-up that appears after purchasing a theme. By selecting Apply multiple themes, you can have multiple themes automatically rotate at a rate of your choice.
Downloading themes:
1. Open LINE on the main device your account is registered to.
2. From the Home tab, tap
> Themes.3. Tap My Themes.

4. Tap

Changing themes:
You can change your themes with the following methods.
After purchasing a theme
Select Apply multiple themes or Apply this theme only on the pop-up that appears.
From My Themes or Purchase history
1. Open LINE on the main device your account is registered to.
2. From the Home tab, tap
> Themes.Note: Tap here to go to Settings from your main device.
3. Tap My Themes or Purchase history.
4. Tap the name of the theme in My Themes or the theme in Purchase history that you want to change to.
5. Select Apply or Update > Apply multiple themes or Apply this theme only.
Automatically rotate between themes:
1. Open LINE on the main device your account is registered to.
2. From the Home tab, tap
> Themes.3. Tap My Themes.
Note: Tap here to go to the My Themes screen from your main device.
4. Select the themes you want to apply.
5. Tap Rotate how often and select either Every 12 hours, Every day, Every 3 days, or Every week.
6. Tap Apply.
7. Tap
at the top left of the screen.Your themes will automatically rotate at the rate you selected based on the time you applied your themes. After the time you selected for themes to rotate passes, your themes will automatically rotate when you switch back to LINE from another app or when you open the Chats tab.
• If you select additional themes or deselect themes, then tap Reset at the top right of the screen, you can deselect all of your selected themes at once.
• If you want to select all of your downloaded themes at once, tap Select all after tapping Reset.
Note:
- You can select up to 150 themes.
- Themes can be selected after you've downloaded them.
- If you purchase a theme on LINE STORE and tap Apply now, it will cancel the automatic rotation setting.
[iOS] Setting themes for Focus:
Focus on iOS is a feature that lets you customize certain apps corresponding to the time and situation. With this feature, you can set up environments so that you can concentrate on certain activities (e.g. study, work, sleep).
With LINE, you can set themes for the various modes and enjoy designs that match your situation.
To set a theme for Focus:
1. Go to Settings for iOS, then tap Focus.
2. Select the mode you want to configure.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Add Filter under FOCUS FILTERS.
4. Under App Filters, select LINE.
5. From Set theme, select the one you want to apply, and then tap Add.
6. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to bring up Control Center, and then turn Focus ON, or from your device Settings > Focus, set a schedule for each mode.
Note:
- To apply themes with Focus, you need to download themes in My Themes beforehand.
- While Focus is on, the theme you applied for it is given priority.
- The themes you applied in My Themes are shown if Focus is off.

Sound Stickers
These stickers play sounds with still images. Sounds will play when:
• Your phone is not in silent mode.
• You send or receive sound stickers with the chat screen opened.
• You tap to preview a sound sticker on the Sticker Shop.
• You have the volume raised on your device and tap a sound sticker.
Custom stickers
These stickers let you personalize them by adding your own captions. You can change the caption on these stickers as many times as you like.
Useful info- Editing a caption does not affect stickers that have already been sent.
- You can also edit captions from the Sticker Shop and My Stickers.
1. Tap the Home tab > Settings > Stickers.
2. Tap My Stickers > the custom stickers you want to edit.
3. Tap Enter caption and enter your text.
4. Tap Save.
Message stickers
These stickers let you personalize them by adding full sentences (up to 100 characters, including spaces). You can edit the text for message stickers as many times as you like. You can also preview how messages will look before purchasing.
Previewing messages before purchasing a sticker set
1. Tap the Home tab > Stickers.2. Tap the message sticker set you want to purchase.
3. Tap the sticker you want to preview.
4. Select Enter message under the sticker being previewed.
5. Enter your text and wait for it to automatically appear on the sticker.
Note:
- Previewed messages won't be saved.
- When you purchase the message sticker set, it will be downloaded with sample text.
You can also edit the text in message stickers after downloading them.
Editing text and saving it to be used again later
1. From the tab displayed at the top of your sticker selection list in a chat, tap a message sticker set.2. Tap the sticker you want to edit.
3. Tap the pencil icon in the sticker preview.
4. Enter your text and tap Save.
Note:
- You can enter up to 100 characters (including spaces).
- Editing text will not affect message stickers that have already been sent.
Your new text will be saved in the sent message sticker so it can be used again later.
Editing the text for only one message
1. Enter your sticker text in the text box and tap the sticker icon.2. Tap the pencil icon above the list of stickers.
Note: The text you entered will be applied to all of the message stickers.
3. Tap the sticker you want to send.
4. Check the preview and tap the sticker to send it.
After you send the edited message sticker in the chat, its text will go back to how it was before.

2. Tap the item you want to send.
3. Tap Send as gift.
4. Choose a friend and tap OK.
5. Confirm the item and friend you selected, then tap OK.
Note: If custom stickers are sent as a gift, only the recipient can edit the caption.
Receiving gifts
1. Tap the Home tab > Settings > Stickers.2. Tap Gift Box > the relevant item under Received.
